The Dutch Challengers are on the Mission America’s Cup

The challenger team of America’s Cup,  The Netherlands is again hoping to be the Challenger of Record. Luna Rossa, who won the race last time has again decided to part in the 2021 regatta taking place in Auckland.

Simeon Tienpont, who is one of the most experienced heads of the Dutch team, come to Auckland to see the performance of New Zealand team Emirates. He very carefully stepped around some questions that involve the hearing of the arbitration panel that will give a judgment related to their late entry to America’s Cup 36th edition.

Grace Gear Finished Junior Sailing Career With Strong Performance

At the prestigious Beverly Junior Regatta, the skipper Grace Gear hailing from York and the crew member John Thomas O’Rourke also from York and Potomac, Maryland, finished at the fifth place and it was the tie. The secured the fifth position beating the fleet of 85 boats. The tournament held on Buzzards Bay on Aug. 14 and 15.

Probably it might her final regatta as the junior sailor, and in this regatta, Gear finished in the first position among all the female skippers who participated in the event. There were 30 female sailors participated in the regatta but only three got the place in the top 30 position.

World Sailing Launches eSailing World Championships

World Sailing, which is the world governing body for sailing, has moved into the world of eSports, by launching the first virtual World Sailing Championships.

The event has been launched online by the World Sailing in partnership with the Virtual Regatta, digital sailing platform. The World championship eSailing will take place every year and will start from the year 2018.
